Connect the phone in a few steps.
- Download the companion app.
On the phone, download and install the signed APK. Android may ask you to allow installation from your browser.
Download Android APK ↓ - Pair it with your family.
Choose “Add a device” here, then enter its single-use code in Flawktalk Control on the phone. The code expires after 10 minutes.
- Enable protection.
Accept Android’s VPN prompt and allow notifications. The app lists installed apps and reports protection status; it does not request location permissions.
- Configure Xiaomi’s background settings.
Enable Background autostart and set the app’s battery setting to No restrictions. Menu names vary by MIUI/HyperOS version. The app has shortcuts to the relevant settings.
- Enable Always-on VPN.
Open Android VPN settings, choose Flawktalk Control, and enable Always-on VPN to help restart protection after a reboot. Leave “Block connections without VPN” OFF. That option would also block apps you want to allow, including the panel connection.
- Confirm the first rule.
Block one app here, wait for “Applied”, then test it on the phone. Test Wi-Fi, mobile data, and screen-off operation. Cached content may remain visible.
The panel receives installed app names/packages, battery and protection status, and policy acknowledgements. It does not receive app traffic contents. Activity is retained for 30 days.
